Adjacent to M.L.K. Civic Center Park on Allston Way are fun food options for all! There are food trucks and stalls with mouth-watering entrées, snacks and sweets you can savor while lounging in the park perusing the new books you and your family just acquired. The Bay Area’s unparalleled diversity is reflected in cuisine from all over the world – empanadas, falafel, shwarma, jerk chicken, street tacos, crepes and more. Top it off with gourmet ice cream, non-dairy Italian ice, juice pops, kettle corn and other sweet treats!

If you’re looking for a beer or a glass of wine, the lovely Berkeley Repertory’s courtyard bar – Michael’s Second Act – will be open during the festival from 1:00 – 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, plus snacks and outdoor seating. The address is 2025 Addison.

On Saturday only, the Ecology Center Farmer’s Market is a festive, family-friendly, open-air marketplace where California farmers bring fresh, locally-grown produce and farm-processed foods to sell. The market features fruits, vegetables, nuts, baked goods, jams and preserves, juices, olive oils, tofu, meat, cheese, prepared foods, nursery plants, and flowers. Several food vendors and trucks are also featured at the market. The Farmer’s Market is open 8AM – 3PM on Center Street, adjacent to Civic Center Park. BYO Bag!
