Women Lit Presents: Leila Slimani at the Berkeley Rep

On Sunday, April 8 at the Berkeley Rep, the Bay Area Book Festival presented Prix Goncourt winner and French-Moroccan author Leila Slimani. Slimani’s captivating novel “The Perfect Nanny” (translated by Sam Taylor) took Europe—and festival staff—by storm. Leila was an extraordinary speaker, eloquent on women’s role in society, motherhood, writing, and culture.
