Iranian-American Abdi Nazemian is an alumnus of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab, a mentor at the Outfest Screenwriters Lab, and has taught screenwriting at UCLA Extension. His debut novel for teens is “The Authentics,” a fresh, funny, and thought-provoking novel about a proud Persian-American girl named Daria and the fallout when she discovers she was adopted. Abdi holds a B.A. from Columbia University, and an M.B.A. from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
