Adrienne Sharp is the critically acclaimed author of the story collection “White Swan, Black Swan” and the novels “First Love,” “The Sleeping Beauty,” “The True Memoirs of Little K,” and the new “The Magnificent Esme Wells.” She received her M.A. with honors from the Writing Seminars at the Johns Hopkins University and was awarded a Henry Hoyns Fellowship at the University of Virginia. Trained as a ballet dancer at the prestigious Harkness Ballet in New York, she often writes about dance and its practitioners.
