Aleah Bradshaw

Aleah Bradshaw (they/them) is a performing artist, writer, and educator with a passion for poetry and hip hop as tools of liberation and creative expression. They were born and raised in Colorado by two Trinidadian American immigrant parents, playing gamecube with their brother, and alternating Kirk Franklin and Ludacris CDs. They now live in Oakland, California, where they spend time developing and facilitating creative writing programs for young artists at Youth Speaks and managing their own small business and music collective closegood. closegood has been highlighted in publications such as Rolling Stone, The Los Angeles Times, Paper Magazine, Afropunk, Essence, V Magazine, and many more.

Dan Alter

Dan Alter’s poems, reviews and translations have been published in journals including Field, Fourteen Hills, and Zyzzyva; his first collection My Little Book of Exiles won the 2022 Cowan Poetry Prize. A volume of translations Take a Breath, You’re Getting Excited, from the Hebrew of Yakir Ben-Moshe, was published by Ben Yehuda Press in September 2024, and Hills Full of Holes, a second collection of poems, by Fernwood Press in March 2025. He lives with his wife and daughter in Berkeley. He works at the Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life at UC Berkeley.
