Alejandra Domenzain

Alejandra Domenzain was an organizer of the Social Justice Children’s Book Fair for the past few years and is now a collaborator and Advisory Committee Member. She is the author of the bilingual children’s book “For All/ Para Todos” about a young girl who becomes an organizer for immigrant and worker rights. She has worked in the field of immigrant worker rights for the past twenty years, and was also an elementary school teacher. She believes passionately in the role of books that invite young people to question systems, dream up better ones, and find joy in making their unique contribution to collective liberation.

Dan Alter

Dan Alter’s poems, reviews and translations have been published in journals including Field, Fourteen Hills, and Zyzzyva; his first collection My Little Book of Exiles won the 2022 Cowan Poetry Prize. A volume of translations Take a Breath, You’re Getting Excited, from the Hebrew of Yakir Ben-Moshe, was published by Ben Yehuda Press in September 2024, and Hills Full of Holes, a second collection of poems, by Fernwood Press in March 2025. He lives with his wife and daughter in Berkeley. He works at the Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life at UC Berkeley.
