Aline Kominsky-Crumb

Aline Kominsky-Crumb is one of the most influential cartoonists of the underground era. In her work, Kominsky-Crumb seeks to “deconstruct the myth or romanticism around being a woman.” Her subversive depictions of femininity, along with her collaborations with husband Robert Crumb, have been widely featured. She is the cartoonist behind Dirty Laundry Comics and Arcade, a contributor to Wimmen’s Comix, cofounder of Twisted Sisters, editor of the anthology “Weirdo,” and author of the graphic memoir “Need More Love.” Her brand new “Love That Bunch,” is the early work of the pioneering feminist cartoonist plus her acclaimed new story “Dream House.” She lives in the south of France.
