Avalon Radys is director of publishing operations and marketing at Inkshares, a book publishing and production company based in Oakland. She led the effort to bring all book production in-house at Inkshares. In her three years there, Avalon has shepherded nearly 100 books through the publishing process, many of which are in development for TV and film after receiving accolades from places like Publishers Weekly, The New York Times, VICE, and BuzzFeed. Before joining Inkshares, Avalon served as editor in chief at Umano, a digital publishing platform. Avalon studied history and English at UC Berkeley while competing on the NCAA varsity rowing team.
