Aya de Leon directs the Poetry for the People program at UC Berkeley. Kensington Books publishes her feminist heist series: UPTOWN THIEF (2016), THE BOSS (2017), THE ACCIDENTAL MISTRESS (2018), and SIDE CHICK NATION (2019) about Hurricane Maria. In 2020, Kensington will publish her spy novel OPERATION HOLOGRAM, about FBI infiltration of African American political organizations. She is currently writing a spy YA series that features teen girls of color called GOING DARK. She writes about race, class, gender and culture at @AyadeLeon and ayadeleon.com.
