Catherine Pyke

Catherine Pyke worked for 30 years in non-profits in San Francisco, primarily as a program officer for the Hearst Foundations and more recently as a philanthropic advisor for the Gladstone Institutes in Mission Bay. An alumna of Scripps College, with a Master’s in Education from Stanford University, she came to appreciate the contributions of the innovative philanthropists whom she now writes about while visiting colleges, universities, medical centers arts organizations and social service agencies. She is the author of “Jane Lathrop Stanford, Mother of a University.”
