Dana Stevens has been Slate‘s film critic since 2006. She is also a co-host of the magazine’s long-running weekly culture podcast, the Slate Culture Gabfest. Dana has a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley and lived in the Bay Area from 1989 to 2001; she now lives in New York City with her family. She has also written for the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Atlantic and Bookforum. Camera Man: Buster Keaton, the Dawn of Cinema, and the Invention of the Twentieth Century is her first book.
