David Corbett

David Corbett worked as a private investigator for fifteen years in San Francisco. He is the award-winning author of four crime novels, including “Done for a Dime” (a New York Times Notable Book). He has also written the story collection “Killing Yourself to Survive,” and the writing guide “The Art of Character.” His short fiction has twice appeared in Best American Mystery Stories, and his nonfiction has appeared in the New York Times, Narrative, Writer’s Digest, and numerous other outlets. Corbett’s fifth novel, “The Mercy of the Night,” was published earlier this year.
