David Meggyesy

David Meggyesy is a former NFL player and union representative for the National Football League Players Association. After seven seasons as a linebacker with the St. Louis Cardinals, he wrote a memoir, “Out of Their League,” which was widely regarded as the first critical look at the dehumanizing aspects of professional football. He later taught courses in the sociology of sports and coached high school football.
