Esther Ehrlich is the author of “Nest,” her debut middle-grade novel, which Kirkus, in a starred review, calls “a poignant, insightful story of family crisis and the healing power of friendship.” “Nest” is an ALA 2015 Notable Children’s Book, School Library Journal Best Book of 2014, and Amazon Top 20 Children’s Book of 2014. It was nominated for a Northern California Book Award. Ehrlich was born and raised in Boston and spent childhood summers on Cape Cod, where “Nest” takes place. A graduate of Vassar College, she lives in the Bay Area with her family.
