Geir Gulliksen is a highly acclaimed Norwegian writer and publishing editor at Oktober. He debuted in 1986 and has since written poems, essays, plays, novels, and children’s books. His children’s book “Iben og forvandlingen,” illustrated by Anna Fiske, was nominated for the Norwegian Brage Award. “Kan vi gjøre det igjen” is an almost complete collection of his nonfiction works. Gulliksen was also nominated for the Ibsen Award in 2013 for the play “En kropp” and also received great recognition from the National Theatre for the play Demoner in 2014. His latest children’s book, “Joel og Io,” also illustrated by Anna Fiske, was nominated for the Nordic Council’s Children’s and Youth Literature Prize in 2015. In the autumn of 2015 his novel “Historie om et ekteskap” (“Story of a Marriage”) was published in Norway to great critical acclaim. “Story of a Marriage” was nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize in 2016 and it was also nominated for The Norwegian Critics’ Prize for Literature 2015, The Norwegian Literary Award: P2 Listeners Novel Prize 2015. In 2014 Geir Gulliksen received the Aschehoug Award for his authorship.
