Gene Luen Yang
Gene Luen Yang, National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, has written and drawn many comics, including the hit “Avatar: The Last Airbender Series.” His latest project is the “Secret Coders” series (with Mike Holmes), which explores the intersection between books and computer programming. Yang’s graphic novel, “American Born Chinese,” was a National Book Award finalist as well as winner of the Printz Award and an Eisner Award. Yang also won the LA Times Book Prize for “Boxers & Saints.”
