George Estreich has published in The New York Times, The American Medical Association Journal of Ethics and more. In his new book, “Fables and Futures: Biotechnology, Disability, and the Stories we Tell Ourselves,” he explores the way we think and talk about human-directed biotechnology. Estreich’s previous publications include “Textbook Illustrations of the Human Body” and “The Shape of the Eye,” a memoir about raising a daughter with Down syndrome, which received the 2012 Oregon Book Award in Creative Nonfiction.
