Kate Schatz

Kate Schatz’s children’s books, ‘Rad American Women A-Z’ and ‘Rad Women Worldwide,’ are now mainstays on young readers’ bookshelves everywhere. She has been published in Oxford American, Denver Quarterly, Joyland, East Bay Express, and San Francisco Chronicle, among others. Kate is a co-founder of The Encyclopedia Project, and is the Chair of the School of Literary Arts at Oakland School for the Arts. She lives in Alameda with her husband and two children, Ivy Cat and Benson Bowie.
