Nayomi Munaweera

Nayomi Munaweera’s debut novel, “Island of a Thousand Mirrors,” was long-listed for the Man Asia Literary Prize, short-listed for the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature and the Northern California Book Prize. It won the Commonwealth Book Prize for the Asian Region. Her second novel, “What Lies Between Us” won the Sri Lankan National Book Award and was one of Buzzfeed’s most Anticipated Books of 2016. She writes about the perils of living in a female body and lives in Oakland. She is widely anthologized and currently at work on her third book.
