Oscar Bucher

Oscar Bucher is an award-winning independent writer-director-editor-producer. His work includes “Too Much Horror Business,” a collaboration with Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett, and the PBS documentary “Waiting for a Train: The Toshio Hirano Story,” which has screened in over 35 international festivals in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Mexico, and Italy, among other venues, and has won 11 awards. Earlier, Bucher co-founded the critically-acclaimed Inquiline Theatre Company, which critic Mark Bieschke called “A fantastic mirror of our times.” The company premiered nine award-winning plays in San Francisco theaters, which Bucher either directed or helped produce.
