Rachel Neumann

Rachel Neumann is a storyteller born and raised in the East Bay. She is the former publisher of Berkeley-based Parallax Press and the personal editor of Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh. Currently, Rachel works as the associate publisher of Shambhala Publications and writes for local and national magazines on the intersection of politics, spirituality, culture, and daily life. She is the author of “Not Quite Nirvana: A Skeptic’s Journey to Mindfulness” and “Baby Present,” the co-author of “Long Weekend: Guidance and Inspiration for Creating Your Own Retreat,” and the editor of “I Am Home: Portraits of Immigrant Teenagers.”
