Robert Scheer

Robert Scheer is known worldwide for his fearless journalism. While working at City Lights Books in the early 1960s he co-wrote “Cuba: an American Tragedy” and went on to lead Ramparts magazine, which revolutionized political journalism. Scheer has penned many books, wrote a national column for the Los Angeles Times for 12 years, and interviewed many U.S. presidents, including the infamous Playboy admission by Jimmy Carter of lust in his heart. Scheer later co-founded the online progressive news magazine Truthdig.
