Scott Ostler
Scott Ostler has been a columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle for 27 years. Before that, he spent 12 years at the Los Angeles Times. Ostler is the author of six books. His most recent is his fiction debut, a young adult novel “Bouncing Back,” about a wheelchair basketball team. He was born in Southern California and graduated from Brigham Young University. Scott was voted California Sportswriter of the year 14 times, and in 2018 was named a top-ten columnist by the Associated Press Sports Editors. He enjoys bowling, reading and writing, and has four sons.
