Shanthi Sekaran

Shanthi Sekaran is a writer and educator based in Berkeley, California. Her last novel, “Lucky Boy,” was named an IndieNext Great Read, and an NPR Best Book of 2017. Her writing has also appeared in “The New York Times,” Salon.com, “LA Review of Books” and “Huffington Post,” among others. Sekaran is a member of the writers’ room for “New Amsterdam,” an NBC medical drama, and her first Middle Grade novel, “The Samosa Rebellion,” is forthcoming in fall 2021.
