Steve Phillips

Steve Phillips is a national political leader, civil rights lawyer, and a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. He is the author of the The New York Times and The Washington Post bestselling book, Brown Is the New White: How the Demographic Revolution Has Created a New American Majority, and the book How We Win the Civil War: Securing a Multiracial Democracy and Ending White Supremacy for Good, published in October 2022. He is also a columnist for The Nation and The Guardian and a regular opinion contributor to The New York Times.
