Steven Clifford

Steven Clifford, the man who played a key role in helping New York City prevent bankruptcy in the 1970s, has penned a book, “The CEO Pay Machine: How It Trashes America and How to Stop It.” His background provides him an intriguing take on the subject: he is the former CEO of King Broadcasting Company and National Mobile Television. Prior to his time at the top, Clifford served as the chief financial officer and as special duty comptroller for New York City. He has directed a whopping 13 companies and chaired board compensation committees for both public and private companies. He currently writes for The Huffington Post.
