Tim Dee has watched birds for almost all his life and has written about them for 20 years. He is the author of “Landfill: Notes on Gull Watching and Trash Picking in the Anthropocene,” “Running the Sky,” and “Four Fields” and the editor of “The Poetry of Birds” with Simon Armitage and Ground Work. He was also a BBC radio producer for three decades. He is married and lives with his wife in Bristol, the Cambridgeshire fens, and in the Cape Peninsula of South Africa.
