Trinidad Escobar is a poet, illustrator, mother, and educator from the Bay Area. She is an alum of San Francisco State’s poetry program and the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics M.F.A. Poetry program at Naropa University. She earned her M.F.A. in Comics at California College of the Arts. Her writing and visual art have been featured in various publications such as Rust + Moth, The Brooklyn Review, Mythium, TAYO, the anthologies “Walang Hiya,” “Over the Line,” “Kuwento,” and more. Her forthcoming graphic memoir, “Crushed,” will be available this summer. Trinidad teaches race & comics at California College of the Arts.
