Viv Albertine is a former post punk rocker turned director turned acclaimed memoirist. As the guitarist of the cult band The Slits, she was a key player in the British counter-culture movement before she moved on to pursue TV and film directing and a solo music career. In 2014, she released her memoir “Clothes, Clothes, Clothes. Music, Music, Music. Boys, Boys Boys.,” which was named one of the Best Books of the Year by Rolling Stone, The Sunday Times, Mojo, Rough Trade, and NME. Albertine’s new memoir, “To Throw Away Unopened,” is a fearless dissection of one woman’s obsession with the truth.
