Chinese American author, chef, and TV host Ying Chang Compestine has written more than 20 books. She has been on numerous cooking shows and has been a food editor for Body + Soul magazine, and has contributed to publications including Men’s Health and Self. She published her first cookbook, “Secrets of Fat-Free Chinese Cooking” in 1997, and she has since written in several genres, including children’s books and a novel based on her life. Her newest children’s book, “The Chinese Emperor’s New Clothes,” came out in 2018.
