Sponsor the Festival

The Bay Area Book Festival is a lifestyle event with a twist, an elite cultural experience that also is a huge community gathering within a single weekend. It’s a perfect opportunity to showcase your brand, products and services to tens of thousands of sophisticated residents from throughout the Bay Area. Check out our 2017 Sponsorship Opportunities.

Who can you reach?

  • You’ll find thousands of educated adult women with purchasing power. Among all attendees, over 60% are women, nearly 70% have a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and over 30% make over $100,000/year. Two-thirds come from the East Bay, with the balance from San Francisco, Marin, and the South Bay.
  • But that’s only part of the story. The big festival crowd also allows for 30% lower-income attendees, with 13% making under $25,000/year. The festival enables a socially-conscious business to bring literacy and culture to all.
  • You’ll reach broad populations. Festivalgoers are more diverse racially than the Bay Area as a whole.

What attracts the crowds?

  • Over 200 best-selling authors (including Pulitzer Prize winners, chefs, writers for teens, and more) in indoor keynotes, interviews, panels and performances all day and evening in beautiful downtown Berkeley auditoriums—with these events sponsorable!
  • 200 elite literary exhibitors along with sponsor booths and activations packed in and around downtown Berkeley’s main park and adjacent streets. Nearly 60% of festivalgoers in 2016 reported that they came to the book festival not merely to see authors but to shop.
