Andy Musser
Andy Chou Musser is an artist and a storyteller. He grew up in a small house filled with books and art supplies and surrounded by a big garden. Today, he freelances as a picture book maker and motion graphics designer from atop a cozy hill in Seattle, not far from wild forests and magical woodland creatures. His A Home Under the Stars explores the difficulties and anxieties that accompany moving, as well as finding a sense of belonging in a new place. It is a 2023 Rainbow Book List Selection and was on the PNBA Book Awards Shortlist 2023. He was thrilled to craft the art for his sister Amy Seto Forrester’s debut Search for a Giant Squid, an exciting, ocean-themed, choose-your-path STEM adventure for emerging readers. When not in the art studio, Musser can be found making music, visiting the library, rock climbing, or volunteering with the Bureau of Fearless Ideas, working to help kids develop their own picture books.
