Steve Fainaru

Steve Fainaru is the co-author with his brother Mark Fainaru-Wada of “League of Denial: The NFL, Concussions, and the Battle for Truth.” In 2008, he won a Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting for his Washington Post series on private security contractors in Iraq. His other works include “The Duke of Havana: Baseball, Cuba, and the Search for the American Dream,” which chronicled the odyssey of pitcher Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez and his defection. Fainaru lives in Berkeley.
